Congressman Mike Pence to file petition signatures for gubernatorial candidacy

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WLFI) - According to his campaign, U.S . Congressman Mike Pence ( R-6th District Indiana) filed petition signatures Monday morning so he can appear on the election ballot as a candidate for governor.

Pence is seeking the Republican nomination. He was scheduled to file the paperwork at 10:45 a.m. Later Monday afternoon, Rep. Pence was scheduled to speak with voters in Plainfield.

Fishers businessman, Jim Wallace, is also seeking the Republican nomination to run for governor of Indiana. Meanwhile, former Indiana House Speaker John Gregg is seeking the Democratic nod. Reality TV star and "Survivor" champ Rupert Boneham is running as a Libertarian.
