Attractions coming to Prophetstown State Park

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Prophetstown State Park expects a busy summer this year and is visiting local libraries to teach people about its rich history.

A presentation was held at Klondike Library Thursday night to reach out to residents, talk about the park's landscape and let people know about the attractions coming to the park soon, highlighted by the new aquatic center coming in July.

"It'll give people a reason to come seven days a week. A reason to cool off and have fun, to hike, bike and picnic," said Prophetstown Interpretative Naturalist Angie Manuel.

Manuel said that many people don't realize that the park is open year-round. She said visiting the park between November and March can sometimes be rewarding due to fewer visitors and the free entry.

The presentation is one of many being held across the area. For more information you can click here to visit their website.
