WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - History buffs from across the Midwest were in Lafayette Sunday. Perusing what the collector’s meeting stamp show had to offer.
Organizers said the show had stamps from across the world, some used and other in mint condition.
Meeting chairman Charles Wilhelm said stamp enthusiasts often zero in on certain areas of geography or history and this show had something for everyone.
“Stamp collectors come in all sizes and shapes. Young and old. Some of them spend a lot. Some of them don’t spend very much. Most of them are interested in geography and history,” said Wilhelm.
Wilhelm said about 35 people were expected at the show Sunday. He said shows like this happen three or four times a year.
