Child flu clinics offered in Lafayette, West Lafayette

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Two flu clinics for children will be offered the week of Oct. 8 in Lafayette and West Lafayette.

The Tippecanoe County Health Department will hold a clinic for children from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10. Vaccines will be available at their office located at 629 N. 6th St. in Lafayette.

There is a $5 administration fee accepted for children with Medicaid and for those whose insurance does not cover the cost of immunizations. Those with private insurance will be billed according to your plan.

You are reminded to bring along your insurance card. For more information, you can contact the health department at (765) 423-9222.

Franciscan St. Elizabeth Health will offer a child flu clinic from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 13.

Children between the ages of six months to 18 years can receive either the influenza vaccine or mist at the Sigma Medical Group office located at 915 Sagamore Parkway in West Lafayette.

The cost of the vaccine is $25 for children whose insurance does not cover immunizations. No appointment is necessary. For more information, you can call (765) 463-5252.
