WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - There was a delicious way to help a great cause Thursday night.

More than 100 people came out Thursday for the 21st Annual March of Dimes Signature Chefs Auction. Ten area restaurants brought out some tasty food and a number of items and packages were auctioned off as well, all to support the March of Dimes.

Two families shared their story of how March of Dimes helped them have healthy children, even though they were born a number of weeks premature.

"This event really helps us put our money to work to help address the issues of prematurity, birth defects and infant mortality," said Interim Division Director Nikki Simpson. "Without this event and events and supporters throughout the year, we would be unable to do this work."

News 18's Dan Klein served as emcee.

The event raised about $25,000.
