WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - News 18 received reports of an accident on Soldiers Home and Kalberer roads in Lafayette Wednesday.

Photos show that a vital part of a Purdy Materials concrete truck, the mixer, fell off the truck, spilling its contents all over the roadway on Kalberer.

It happened around noon, and it took crews about 2 hours to clean up the mess.

News 18 has a crew on the scene, and we're told the mixer simply "fell off" for an unknown reason.

Kalberer Road was completely closed off while crews clean up the scene. As of 2:20 p.m. it was back open.

Tune in to News 18 at 5 and 6 for further images and comments from crews on the scene.
