Car totaled at corner of old US 231

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A car was totaled after an accident at the corner of old U.S. 231 and County Road 350 Friday afternoon.

A semi-truck traveling south on Veterans Memorial Parkway in Lafayette hit an east-bound pick-up truck.

According to Lafayette police, the semi ran a red light striking the pick-up on the driver’s side. The driver of the semi was not injured.

The pick-up driver was taken to Franciscan Saint Elizabeth East Hospital with a minor shoulder injury.
