TIPPECANOE COUNTY. Ind. (WLFI) - A car fire slowed down traffic on U.S. 231 on Lafayette's south side Wednesday night.
Tippecanoe Sheriff's Deputies said just before 11 p.m., a man noticed his car was overheating.
He pulled into a driveway near Samola Drive to check his engine.
Deputies say when he did so, he noticed a liquid dripping which appeared to be on fire.
Shortly after, the entire car was engulfed in flames.
Wea Township Fire Department arrived on the scene and had the fire extinguished in about five minutes.
