WARREN COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Eight people are injured after an ATV accident in Warren County Sunday evening.
According to Indiana Conservation Officers, the accident occurred around 7:45 Sunday evening on Independence Road, just south of Green Hill in Warren County.
Officers said it is thought a Polaris Ranger with four passengers was traveling north on Independence Road, when it was struck head on by a Jeep Grand Cherokee traveling southbound. The Jeep contained five passengers.
One victim was airlifted from the scene to St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis with unknown injuries. The seven other victims were transported to both IU Health Arnett Hospital and St. Elizabeth East Hospital in Lafayette.
The injuries of all seven are unknown.
Of the eight victims involved in the crash, seven were juveniles. Officers said helmets and seat belts were not worn by the passengers of the Polaris Ranger ATV.
