WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - According to the White County Sheriff's Department, a car caught fire on I-65 south around 8 Sunday evening. The fire occurred just one mile south of the US 24 and 231 exit, just east of Remington.
Deputies said the driver of the car noticed the check engine light was on in the car, and pulled to the side of the road. A few minutes later, the car caught fire.
Deputies said nobody was injured in the fire and the cause of the fire is unknown. Traffic in the southbound lanes of I-65 was backed up for about an hour.
