WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A car drove down the stairs of a pedestrian entrance to Happy Hollow Park in West Lafayette Tuesday night.
West Lafayette police say around 7:30 p.m., Briena Davis, 21, was headed down Grant Street. The Purdue student was turning left onto Salisbury Street when she veered off the road, hit a planter box near the park entrance and then drove down one section of stairs.
Officers believe a medical condition is likely to blame for the crash. Davis was taken to Franciscan St. Elizabeth Central for the medical condition. Officers said Davis had very minor injuries from the crash itself.
A portion of Salisbury Street was blocked off for more than an hour while the car was removed from the scene.
