LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Tippecanoe County coroner's office has identified the body discovered Friday as 26-year-old Jeremy Gibson. The coroner has also determined the manner of death as a homicide, but no other information is available at this time.

Family and friends gathered outside of Gibson's home Saturday evening to pay tribute to a friend. A candlelight vigil was held where over a hundred people gathered to say goodbye to a father of two, whom most people NewsChannel 18 spoke with said was a very caring person.

Signs were hung to express that they will find justice for what they said is a senseless crime.

His mother said Gibson was just too young to die.

Three people have been arrested for his murder. Formal charges have not yet been filed.
