WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Olympic gold medalist and former Purdue diver David Boudia was honored on Saturday by Purdue University.
In the 2012 Olympic games in London, Boudia won a bronze and gold medal in diving events.
Boudia was recently named the U.S. Diving Athlete of the Year for the fourth time.
Saturday, the diver was presented with the "Resolution of Congratulations" award from Purdue Trustees, for representing not only himself with integrity, but the University.
Boudia said he's thankful for the support from the Boiler Nation.
"I never would have been able to do any of this without their support," said Boudia. "Just to be out and adventuring the world with the title that we have and get to meet other Boilermakers out in the United States, it's exciting and we'll see what the future holds."
Boudia is a senior at Purdue pursing a degree in Communication.
