Boiling Advisory for Battle Ground residents

BATTLEGROUND, Ind. (WLFI) - Battle Ground Utilities has issued a boiling advisory to all customers West of and including County Road 300 East until 8:00 a.m. Sunday morning.

Water pressure dropped below standards when pumps responsible for maintaining the pressure failed due to lightning strike early Saturday morning.

Areas included are Wood's Edge Mobile Home Park, Northgate Park, and all subdivisions on County Road 600 N.

A boiling advisory means that although no contamination has been found, the possibility exists that some may have occurred due to the loss of pressure. Battle Ground advises all customers affected to boil all water used for drinking, cooking, and brushing teeth.

Historic Battle Ground area, River Bluffs Subdivision, and Yellowknife Drive are not affected by the advisory.
