TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - The Tippecanoe County Coroner's office has identified a body that was found in the Wildcat Creek Friday afternoon.

According to the Department of Natural Resources (DNR), the body found was that of Kerry Dunsmore, who was reported missing on January 26, 2012.

Conservation Officer Matt Tholen said officers from multiple agencies spent several days searching for Dunsmore in the area of the Wildcat Creek near the Monitor Bridge. Authorities suspended the search February 1, due to swift water conditions.

Tholen said a retired police officer was canoeing in the area Friday and located the body. He called the DNR and two Search and Rescue divers recovered the body upstream from the bridge at 100 North.
