BATTLE GROUND, Ind. (WLFI) - The area wolf refuge wants to invite you to its 40th anniversary celebration Saturday.

It’s the final event in a three-part series, which will feature renowned speakers Michael W. Fox, Beth Duman and Chris Albert. Tours of Wolf Park – among other entertainment – will be offered.

Michael W. Fox is the former VP of the Humane Society of the U.S. and author of more than 40 adult and children’s books on animal care, animal behavior and bioethics. Dr. Fox has spearheaded the movement to foster ethical treatment of animals and the environment since 1967.

Beth Duman is a wolf specialist and dog trainer. She’s been taking part in positive dog training for more than 16 years, and is a regular guest speaker at Park seminars.

Chris Albert started volunteering at the Park when he was just a Purdue University veterinary student. During that time he gained experience in applying knowledge of animal behavior to increasing the effectiveness of their medical care.

The entire celebration kicks off at 11 a.m. at Wolf Park and goes until 5 p.m.

Silly Safaris will have a live animal show at 1 p.m. and Bill Marion and the Flying Frisbee Dogs will perform at 2 and 4 p.m.

Admission to the celebration is $10. Visitors are invited to return at 7:30 p.m. for the Howl Night program for $7, or purchase a combination ticket for both the day and evening events for just $15. Members get in free all day long.

For more information, call 765-567-2265 or head to Wolf Park’s website.
