Bar fight sends one to the hospital

LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette Police are investigating a fight outside a bar that left one man in the Intensive Care Unit. They said it happened outside Champs Bar on Earl Avenue early Friday morning.

36-year-old Brent Dimmitt of Clarks Hill was arrested at the scene. He was originally arrested on charges of battery resulting in injury, disorderly conduct and public intoxication.
    
Police said the case has been forwarded to the prosecutors and expect some of the charges to be changed. Dimmitt remains in the Tippecanoe County Jail.
