LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Subaru saw a 35-percent increase in sales in August.
Subaru of Indiana Automotive (SIA) vice president Tom Easterday says the automaker's Lafayette plant plans on increasing production to meet demand.
Easterday says the company plans on producing nearly 180,000 Subarus and 90,000 Toyota Camrys this year.
He says SIA won't be hiring new employees to meet the demand.
Easterday says the automotive industry as a whole is expecting more than $14 million in total sales this year.
