ATTICA, Ind. (WLFI) - An Attica teacher who was transferred this week from a 6th grade classroom in the elementary school to a position at the Junior-Senior high school will not be moved back, despite the requests and pleas of dozens of students, parents and community members earlier this week.

In a letter obtained by News 18 addressed to 6th grade parents, Superintendent Derek Marshall stated Mrs. Beth Bass will remain at her newly assigned position. He added he appreciated all the comments made at Monday night's meeting asking for the move to be reconsidered.

Messages left by News 18 both Tuesday and Wednesday with Superintendent Marshall have not been returned.

He has also not responded to a News 18 request for comment related to a Twitter account from Attica Elementary School Principal Dusty Goodwin which also upset some parents at Monday's meeting.
