WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - New apartments are coming to Purdue's campus.
Crosswalk Commons apartments will house international and American students in two and three bedroom suites.
The buildings will be located on Purdue's campus near the water tower. Students will share common areas like a kitchen and living room.
The purpose behind the apartments is to unite domestic and international students to support a deep cultural experience. Crosswalk board member John Sprunger said students will be learning from each other while creating new friendships.
Sprunger said the student organization Salt and Light will be housed in the new building.
"We're looking to build a student living facility that's designed to house Salt and Light international, as well as Salt and Light national, a student organization here at Purdue that objective is connect peoples' culture and truths," said Sprunger.
Various organizations came together to make Crosswalk Commons possible for students on Purdue's campus.
