LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Community members took to the runway Wednesday to help raise money for the YWCA of Greater Lafayette.

The YWCA hosted a fashion show at the Holiday Inn Lafayette - City Center.

People of all ages strutted their stuff to help bring in funding for the YWCA.

This was the first year for the event.

Executive Director Debi DeBruyn said they like to present fresh ideas for fundraising.

“We do all kinds of events at the YWCA. We have a clay bowl luncheon, we have a corn hole tournament, so we really try to hit all the folks we possibly can in the community,” DeBruyn said.

Except for some expenses, all proceeds from the fashion show and a raffle will go toward the YWCA and its programs.
