WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Construction on Salisbury Street is finished. The City of West Lafayette cut the ribbon on a safety improvement project. Sidewalks were widened, sidewalk ramps to the street added, new asphalt laid, and bike lanes improved on a half mile of road from Riley to Rainbow. The construction began in April 2009. Salisbury Street remained open during the overhaul. The project cost $1 million.
