TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Tippecanoe County residents can cast their ballot early for the May Primary Election.
Election Board Co-Director Heather Maddox said a room at the Tippecanoe County Office Building will soon be available for voters. The room is on the third floor of the office building next to the voter registration office.
Maddox said voting early may be better than waiting until election day.
"It's really easy. You are in and out within a matter of minutes. You just have to sign an affidavit and that's it. If people might be traveling or not know if they are going to be available on election day, they can vote beginning April 5. They can vote in our office. You don't need an excuse, unlike absentee by mail, where you do need to check an excuse. If you vote absentee in person you don't need an excuse," said Maddox.
Again, early voting will start on April 5. The primary election is on May 4.
The Tippecanoe County Office Building is open Monday though Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
