WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Looking to get a jump-start on your health and help others in need?
An event this weekend could give you the chance to do both. Help 4 Haiti is an all-day yoga event at Cline Chiropractic. Donations will go to the Red Cross Haiti Relief Fund. Dr. Adam Cline said he wanted a way to help the people of Haiti but also give back locally. For a minimum donation of $1, participants get access to free yoga classes, back adjustments, massages, and healthy snacks.
"We absolutely hope people give more. The services we are providing are definitely worth a lot more than that, but it is for a donation.Sso whatever people can give or are comfortable giving is fine with us," Cline said.
Purdue Doctoral Student Branly Eugene is also selling Haiti bracelets. He will take the money back to his hometown in Haiti to buy food and medicine for those displaced by the earthquake.
"If somebody has a bracelet, from time to time they may look it and just think about Haiti because I think it's not going to be a short term, it's going to be a long term process. So I think from time to time when people look at bracelet, they will actually think of Haiti," Eugene said.
Cline said you can also bring in canned items for the Food Finders Food Bank in Lafayette.
