LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A number of locations throughout the Greater Lafayette area will host opportunities for you to register to vote in the 2012 election. The Lafayette League of Women Voters is promoting these events throughout the month of September.
The League of Women Voters also has information on candidates running for office on its website .
If you want to register before the upcoming election, the following dates and locations are available:
Sept. 10 and 11 at Ivy Tech Community College
Ivy Hall, Grand Hall
3101 Creasy Lane
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Sept. 12
West Lafayette Farmers Market
Cumberland Park
Salisbury & Lagrange
3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
Sept. 18
CityBus Depot/Transfer Station
8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Sept. 25 and 26
Memorial Mall with Purdue Student Government
9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
You can also register to vote online or in person at the Tippecanoe County Board of Elections and Registration (or your county's voter registration office) or at a branch of the Indiana Bureau of Motor Vehicles.
