TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Police said alcohol led to a single-vehicle crash in southern Tippecanoe County.

Tippecanoe County Sheriff Tracy Brown said the crash happened near the intersection of County Road 100 East and County Road 510 South Sunday morning.

The driver of the vehicle has been identified as Cody Hurt of New Richmond, Indiana.

Brown said Hurt lost control of his vehicle and drove off the side of the road, where the vehicle rolled over before coming to a stop.

Hurt was entrapped in the vehicle and had to be extracted from the truck by Wea Township Fire and Tippecanoe Emergency Ambulance personnel. Hurt was taken to Home Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment for head trauma injuries.

Brown said Hurt has been cited for operating while intoxicated.
