TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - Police are investigating reports of strangers approaching Tippecanoe School Corporation (TSC) students at bus stops.
A text message was sent out to the TSC parents Wednesday evening, making them aware of two incidents.
Sheriff Tracy Brown said the first incident happened on September 21, when a white male in a maroon or red SUV asked a student at a bus stop in Wildcat Highlands if he wanted a ride to school.
Brown said another incident happened Tuesday, September 28 in the Brookfield Heights sub-division. He said the vehicle and the suspect description do not match.
Police don't have any suspects and are continuing to investigate. Brown asked to parents continue to take normal precautions with their children while they are at the bus stop and report any information to the Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Department at (765) 423-9321.
