ATTICA, Ind. (WLFI) - More than 20 cats and dogs are under a veterinarian's care after their owner suddenly died.
Veterinarian Cathy Alinovi was asked to take in the animals. They were discovered after an Attica woman passed away.
Alinovi said she is providing dental care for the dogs. She is also treating the dogs and cats for dehydration, fleas, and malnourishment, among other things.
Animal rescuers encourage people to have a back-up plan in case they cannot care for their pets.
The 17 dogs and two of the five cats are available for adoption at Hoofstock in Pine Village.
