TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A bridge in Tippecanoe County will soon get a new look.
The Tippecanoe County Commissioners took bids under advisement to
repair Bridge 151, also known as Hog Point Bridge.
Highway Department Assistant Director Mike Spencer said the last
time the bridge was worked on was in the 70s. He said other
road improvements near the bridge will be made as well.
"The bridge itself will get a new deck on it. I believe
it will be wider. The deck that's on there is severely
deteriorating. There will be a lot of road improvements along
Pretty Prairie Road where it ties in with Grant Road. It's
kind of an unsafe intersection right now, it will make it a lot
safer for the public," said Spencer.
The low bid for the project came from Jack Isom Construction
at around $2.3 million.
