FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) - Some noise was being made outside of a church in Frankfort Sunday afternoon, as 80 drummers from across the United States gathered to put on a motivational public performance.
The drummers are members of a group called Sheltered Reality. The group is a non-profit organization that uses the power of music and high-energy choreography to motivate others to achieve their dreams.
The group has sites in nine different states, including a site in Frankfort. Sheltered Reality assistant director Jordan Fratt said the group arrived in Frankfort on Thursday, and has been busy ever since.
"We've done mission projects all weekend, we did 8 hours of practice on Saturday, and then we're coming together to do a 90-minute show," said Fratt. "So, the kids can make new friends and make a change in the community that they've reached."
Sheltered Reality performs at schools, churches, fairs and other venues across the United States. If you are interested in booking a Sheltered Reality performance, email contactus@sheltered-reality.org .
