WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Despite the rain Sunday, many were able to take part in a very unique opportunity.

Buffalo Ranch in Buffalo, Indiana hosted it's labor day weekend annual open house. Guests took a hayride and got to see nearly 80 buffalo up close.

After seeing them grazing in the pastures, guests even got to sample a buffalo burger. Buffalo Ranch co-owner Zona Vanmeter said her favorite thing about their unique business isn't the buffalo, but the guests.

"We get a lot of very interesting visitors," said Vanmeter. "That's probably the most interesting part of the whole business is the people we meet, the places that we go and talk to people, we have a lot of people that come from different countries even that come here to cornfield Indiana to see our buffalo."

The tour cost $10 for adults and $5 for children.
