LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - $600 worth of merchandise is stolen from Diggz Clothing in Lafayette, and the Lafayette Police Department said the suspects are still on the loose.

Diggz Clothing manager Lori Harth said around 6:20 Monday evening, two black males and one black female walked into the store and were looking for jeans.

She said the two men asked one of the workers if they could get a discount if they bought multiple pairs of jeans. Harth said her employee walked away to ask, and that's when the two men ran out of the store, jumped in a car, and drove away.

Harth said they stole about eight pairs of jeans and two shirts. Diggz Clothing is located on Teal Road in Lafayette, and Harth said the number of robberies in that area recently has her very concerned.

"Crime has got to come to a stop here in Lafayette. It's just getting worse and worse and out of control," said Harth. "There's numerous businesses that I've spoke to recently that have been robbed. Merchandise, plus the news telling us about theft with guns and armed robberies in banks, and crazy stuff."

Harth said the Lafayette Police Department was called to the store after the shoplifting incident. She said they are working with the police department to catch the suspects.
