GREATER LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Lafayette dispatchers say two cars crashed on the U.S. 52 bridge over the Wabash River.

Tippecanoe County Sheriff's Office is responded to a crash in the eastbound lanes of U.S. 52, just past the Wabash River.

Deputies say a driver in a passenger car was going too fast for the slippery conditions. She ended up rear-ending a minvan. The driver of the car was transported to the hospital with minor neck injuries.

Traffic was slowed and even stopped at times while crew cleared the scene.
