Ladies: It's time to enroll in a self-defense class

WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - Every woman should get the chance to learn basic-defense techniques.

That’s why the West Lafayette Police Department hosts Women Rape Aggression Defense (RAD) classes throughout the year.

The RAD class is a nationally recognized basic self-defense class designed specifically for females ages 13 and older.

The class is free and applications can be downloaded from the police department’s website.

One catch: The class size is restricted to 20 people and entrance is based on the date the application is received, so if you’re interested, apply soon.

The police department will host the classes from 6 to 9 p.m. on the following nights at 711 W. Navajo Dr. in West Lafayette. You must attend all nights to complete the course.
