INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (WISH) - Indianapolis police arrested two people accused of shooting off fireworks Monday, in defiance of the ban on personal use of fireworks in place in Marion County.
Police said the two fired bottle rockets and started a grass fire in the 600 block of North Parker Avenue, near Michigan and Rural streets.
Both now face charges of criminal recklessness, police said.
Penalties for violating the fireworks ban can include jail time and a $2,500 fine.
