INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department confirms one person was shot and killed on the east side.
The incident happened just before 7 a.m. Tuesday in the 3900 block of East 31st Street. Officials say an anonymous person called police after seeing a person lying in front yard of a residence.
When police and EMS arrived, the person was pronounced dead on scene. Officials say he suffered a gunshot wound.
The victim appeared to be a man in his 30's.
Police say there are no witnesses at this time. Homicide detectives are on scene. An autopsy is scheduled to determine the cause of death.
