INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - The pool where 70 people were treated for a chemical spill remained closed Monday and likely won’t reopen Tuesday.
Indy Parks officials said Monday they were waiting on a final inspection report from the Marion County Health Department.
Garfield Park Pool was closed after dozens of kids were sent to the hospital Thursday after an incident with chemicals, including muriatic acid.
Officials still aren’t sure what caused the incident. The pool water was sent through a series of filters over the weekend, and was testing within all normal ranges Monday. Indy Parks wants to have the final health department report in hand and have a chance to make any recommended changes before opening the pool.
Indy Parks didn’t have a timeline for when the pool would reopen.
