INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - Black lawmakers from across the country are heading to Indianapolis this week to discuss health care.

The National Black Caucus of State Legislators will hold its annual Black America's Dialogue on Health Conference at the Indiana Statehouse. They're expected to discuss expanding research and development pipelines to produce more personalized medicines for African Americans and creating and implementing affordable health insurance exchanges under the federal health care law, among other topics.

The National Black Caucus of State Legislators includes more than 600 African American state legislators from 45 states, the District of Columbia, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
