Man kissing on couch may lose eye

A man caught kissing another man’s girlfriend is suffering skull fractures and may lose an eye after being hit by a baseball bat.

Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department went to the 3600 block of Salem Street around 2 a.m. Thursday for the 21-year-old man’s injuries. Later investigating revealed he was beaten with a bat in a home in the 3500 block of North Illinois Street.

The man told police he didn’t want to talk about what happened; he just wanted medical help, according to an IMPD report. The report revealed he was sitting on the couch kissing a woman when the woman’s live-in boyfriend returned home and beat him with a baseball bat and a glass candle holder.

When officers checked on the man at the hospital, he had multiple skull fractures and might lose his right eye, according to the police report. No arrests were made.
