INDIANAPOLIS (AP) - A Dow Chemical Co. business said Monday that it has bought a California seed company.
Dow AgroSciences purchased Cal/West Seeds, a Woodland, Calif., company that sells seeds for alfalfa, clover and other crops.
Indianapolis-based Dow AgroSciences, a subsidiary of Midland, Mich.-based Dow Chemical, works on making crops more productive.
Dow AgroSciences praised Cal/West for its technological advances, noting that it has research and development and production facilities in California, Washington and Wisconsin.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Dow Chemical slipped 22 cents to $28.98, a down day for the market.
