TELL CITY, Ind. (AP) - A grand jury has indicted two cousins on charges of murder and attempted rape in the 1997 death of a woman in southern Indiana's Perry County.

State police say 36-year-old Thomas E. Lane of Tell City and 37-year-old Thomas D. Lane of Gentryville were arrested Wednesday and were being held without bond in the Perry County Jail.

The grand jury was convened Monday at the request of Prosecutor Robert Collins, who said investigators had recently discovered "significant leads" that were not available in the years immediately following the death of Deborah Mills-Cioe.

The woman's body was found with a stab wound to the neck near the Ohio River town of Tobinsport, about 50 miles east of Evansville. She had been reported missing a week earlier.
