INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Monday morning, gas prices around the country – and here in Indianapolis – were the lowest they’ve been all year.
On the east side of the city, there were several stations selling regular unleaded fuel for less than $3 a gallon.
AAA says the cheaper winter blends of fuel, plus a combination of dropping oil prices and increase in supply, is being credited with helping the price drop. The national average, AAA said, is at $3.25 a gallon. In Indianapolis, the average is at $3.09.
According to indygasprices.com, it’s been a year since prices have been that low.
