INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) - Gun shop owners say they can’t keep inventory on shelves. Crowds lining up outside the door are common sites at gun stores like Indy Trading Post.

Store owners say gun enthusiasts are buying weapons faster than they can keep them on the shelves.  Because of the run on guns, store owners say their inventory is way down.

“The manufacturers even prior to the politics of it the manufacturers were having a hard time keeping up with demand increasing its gotten even worse,” said Brian Ludlow owner Indy Trading Post.

Ludlow says the rush began after President Obama was re-elected, but jumped even more following the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary.
