LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - A Lafayette woman was sentenced to time in community corrections and probation after she pleaded guilty to burglary.

Tippecanoe County Prosecutor Pat Harrington says in May of 2012, police were called to a reported burglary at an apartment on Ferry Street in Lafayette.

The resident told police after he had prescription medication stolen from him and that he had set up a web cam to catch whomever did it.

Harrington says the video shows 33-year-old Tarrah York, a cleaning person at the apartment complex, near the place he kept the medication.

The building manager told police York was only supposed to clean when a tenant had moved out, and she should not have had a key to that apartment.

Harrington says York later admitted to police she took the master key and took the pills from a bottle in the kitchen.
