WHITE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - A Monticello woman has been arrested on preliminary drug charges just days after being charged with trafficking drugs to a White County Jail inmate.

The Monticello Police Department arrested 27-year-old Sarah Davis Wednesday on charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.

This comes after an employee of the White County Prosecutor's Office reported overhearing suspicious plans between Davis and an inmate.

The detective listened to a recorded phone call and heard Davis say she was going to send a card with something in it.

The White County Jail commander later discovered a card containing a drug used to treat opiate addiction.

You can read our original story on Davis’ trafficking charge here.
