LAFAYETTE, Ind. (WLFI) - The Lafayette Police Department received a call of an armed bank robbery just after 9 o'clock this morning at the Huntington Bank at 2101 Teal Road.
According to police, the suspect entered the bank, displayed a handgun and told teller it was a bank robbery. The suspect took the money and fled the scene on foot heading south.
Suspect is described as a white male wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, and dark sunglasses.
Police are still on scene and the crime scene technicians are still investigating. Police have been collecting witness statements as well. Lafayette Police Department K-9 unit did scan the area but lost the scent. There were no reported injuries.
