STEUBEN COUNTY, Ind. (AP/WLFI) - State police say a trooper assigned to patrol the Indiana Toll Road has resigned and been charged with official misconduct and battery.
The charges filed Wednesday against 28-year-old Michael Mosier accuse him of groping a 19-year-old woman he pulled over for speeding this summer. Mosier formerly worked in the Lafayette district of the Indiana State Police.
Steuben County Prosecutor Tom Wilson told The Journal Gazette of Fort Wayne that Mosier told the woman to get into his police cruiser and that he touched her chest and bottom.
Mosier was given a summons to appear in court on the charges. He couldn't be located for comment as no telephone number was listed in his name.
State police say Mosier resigned Tuesday after 2-1/2 years with the agency.
