Trial delayed for mom accused in boys' heat deaths

SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) - A judge has delayed the trial of a northern Indiana woman indicted in the deaths of her two young sons she found locked inside a car trunk in summer 2011.
WSBT-TV in South Bend reports a St. Joseph County judge Tuesday rescheduled Jacqueline Wilk's trial on neglect charges for Feb. 4. The trial had been set for Oct. 29. He also set a hearing on a defense motion to suppress evidence for Nov. 21.
The New Carlisle woman was indicted in May in the June 2011 deaths of her two sons, Issac Dunner, 2, and Dominick Wilk, 4.
Wilk was 23 when the boys died. She doesn't have a published telephone number and couldn't be reached for comment.
New Carlisle is about 15 miles west of South Bend.
