CLINTON COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) - The Indiana State Police (ISP) Meth Suppression Team has arrested three people in Frankfort for manufacturing meth.
ISP says Thursday morning just after midnight, investigators conducted an investigation at 307 W. First St. and were met at the door by 58-year-old Danny L. Burton, who lives there.
Troopers were allowed into the residence and could smell a strong chemical odor.
For safety, Burton, along with 33-year-old Shawn I. Burton and 44-year-old Rodrick F. Smith, were escorted out of the house and detained in the lobby of the Clinton County Jail until investigators could determine whether to bring charges against the men.
After procuring a search warrant, troopers went back to the residence. A search revealed meth in the residence, as well as precursors to manufacture meth.
All three men were charged with manufacturing meth, a Class B felony, and are being held in the Clinton County Jail.
ISP says if you suspect criminal or any type of drug activity in your neighborhood, contact the meth suppression hotline number at 800-453-4756. You do not need to leave your name. All calls are confidential.
