SWAT teams called in for Frankfort meth lab discovery

FRANKFORT, Ind. (WLFI) - Frankfort police arrested a man after a meth lab was discovered Wednesday night.

Police Chief Troy Bacon says a search warrant was carried out by the Clinton County Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) Team at 656 West Morrison Street.

Chief Bacon says the resident of that home, 53-year-old Alan Hall of Frankfort, is charged with dealing, maintaining a common nuisance, possession of and manufacturing of methamphetamine.

When investigators searched the home they found components indicating an active meth lab. Charges are pending on others involved in the case.

“This was a lengthy and complex drug investigation that led to the arrest,” Chief Bacon said. “I am extremely proud of all the law enforcement agencies that assisted in this successful operation. The discovery of this threat to our community and subsequent arrest is another clear example of the Frankfort Police Department’s ongoing effort to make Frankfort a safer city in which to live.”

The Clinton County SWAT team was assisted by the Boone County SWAT team, Clinton County K9 unit and patrol units from Frankfort Police and the Clinton County Sheriff’s Office.
